Why Cozy Counseling?

More Than Just Therapy.

  • Internal Family Systems Therapy

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is an evidence-based approach that helps you understand and heal the different “parts” of yourself. Rather than trying to fix or eliminate symptoms, we work with curiosity and compassion to understand why certain patterns developed and how they’re trying to help. Through this process, many people experience deeper self-trust, emotional relief, and lasting change.

This approach is especially supportive for anxiety, trauma, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, and identity exploration.

  • Holistic Approach

At Cozy Counseling, a diagnosis does not define you. You are a whole person, made up of much more than your symptoms.

We use a holistic approach to care by weaving together IFS with supportive practices that honor your emotional, relational, and inner worlds.

  • Spiritual Integration

Therapy is a deeply personal experience, often highlighting themes of values, purpose, and humanity. If you feel drawn to spirituality, we may gently integrate reflective tools such as tarot, guided journaling, or meditation within a therapeutic framework.

These tools are used reflectively to support insight and self-connection. Spiritual integration is always optional and never imposed.

  • Evidence-Based Practices

In addition to IFS, sessions may incorporate evidence-based tools from CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based practices to support emotional regulation, coping skills, and insight.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy — Learn to challenge negative thought patterns and develop healthier coping strategies.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy — Practice skills such as mindfulness and emotion regulation.

Internal Family Systems — Explore your inner world and gain a deeper connection to your core self.
